DAL CHUTNEY | ಬೇಳೆ ಚಟ್ನಿ
Ingredients & Method
(below ingredients blended into a smooth texture and served with plain rice, chapati, idli or dosa with a teaspoon of ghee on top)
- 50 gms each of toor dal & chana dal (lightly roasted)
- 2 table spoons urud dal (lightly roasted)
- 1/2 cup grated fresh coconut (or dry
coconut) can be roasted if required - 25 gms dry red chillies (roasted)
- Tamarind juice & jaggary to taste
- salt to taste
- for seasoning - few curry leaves & 1/2 tsp. mustard seeds tempered (tadka / ಒಗ್ಗರಣೆ) in few table spoons of oil.
