ITALIAN - Basil Pesto



Home made BASIL PESTO 

 
 
INGREDIENTS & METHOD -  1 cup chopped fresh basil leaves, 1 clove crushed garlic, salt & pepper to taste, 1 handful of lightly toasted pine nuts, 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (cream cheese can be used), 1/4 cup olive oil...............>>   blended together into a smooth paste.  
Refrigerate for up to 1 week ........>>  transfer the blended pesto paste into an airtight container by adding a little bit of olive oil on top.  

 


Spinach Agnolotti with Basil Pesto, Parsley & chilli flakes
  

Use as required with any Pasta dishes
