MANGALORE & UDUPI - NEER DOSA
NEER DOSA | WATER DOSA - a crepe prepared from rice batter which don't require any fermentation; served with chutney, sambar, saagu.
Ingredients - 2 cups raw rice, water as needed, 1/4 cup freshly grated coconut, salt to taste.
Method - Wash & soak rice for 4 hours. Grind into fine texture by adding salt & coconut. Grease a skillet or pan and pour batter and cook covered until dosa starts leaving sides of skillet. Since the texture of dosa will be thin, you can cook just one side. Serve hot with coconut chutney.
