MUMBAI Bhel Puri






Ingredients: (serves 2-3 people)
  • 2 cups puffed rice (available at Indian supermarket)
  • A handful of roasted and salted peanuts
  • 2 potatoes boiled, peeled and chopped into tiny cubes (cooked peas and chickpeas may be added)
  • 1 large onion chopped fine
  • 1 large tomato chopped fine
  • Coriander for garnishing
  • Green and sweet chutneys to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • A handful of coarsely crushed papdi (available at Indian supermarket)
  • A handful of sev (available at Indian supermarket)
Method: Mix the ingredients in a large bowl.  Add green and sweet chutneys + salt to your taste preference and mix well.  Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve immediately.
