5 Herbs Naan



My YEAST-FREE, MAIDA-FREE whole-meal atta flour Indian naan bread using 5 different green herbs & dry roasted without applying oil. 


INGREDIENTS
  • 4 cup wholemeal atta flour (pure godi hittu)
  • 1/2 to 1 tsp. finely chopped parsley, basil, oregano, methi & coriander leaves
  • 3/4 sp. cooking soda
  • 2 sp. baking powder
  • 3 sp. ghee
  • 2 sp. olive oil
  • 3 big spoon plain yogurt / curd
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 2 sp. sugar
  • salt to taste
METHOD
  • In a large bowl, add every ingredient (EXCEPT OLIVE OIL) and mix gently to combine, pour olive oil on top, cover and let it rest for 5-6 hours
  • when ready, knead gently, make medium sized balls out of the dough and roll into thick naan
  • heat a pan, dry roast (on a medium heat) both sides
  • serve hot or warm with any curry of your choice
