Menthya Gojju (ಮೆಂತ್ಯ ಗೊಜ್ಜು)
Ingredients
- 2 tsps. methi (fenugreek) seeds - roasted & powdered
- 1 strand curry leaves
- 1/2 tsp. chopped coriander leaves (for garnishing)
- 1/2 tsp. mustard seeds (for seasoning)
- 1 tsp. urud dal (for seasoning)
- Jaggary & tamarind juice to taste
- salt to taste
- pinch of hing powder
- red chilli & rasam powder - 1-2 tsps (or as per your spice taste)
- 2 tsps. dry coconut (in powder form)
- 1 tsp. oil
- enough water to make thick or thin gravy
Method (1)
- Heat oil in a pan, season mustard seeds, urud dal & curry leaves
- Add other ingredients, bring it to boil & simmer on low heat until gojju thickens.
- Serve hot with rice, dosa & chapati
