Tandoor Naan Bread - Mushroom Masala



TANDOOR NAAN BREAD (makes 6 pieces)


  • 1 cup self-raising flour
  • 3/4 cup plain yogurt
  • pinch of salt
  • water as needed 
In a large bowl,  add above ingredients and make a soft dough.  Rest the dough for 30 minutes.
Make small balls, roll into shapes and roast both sides on a tawa (or tandoor) by applying olive oil.
Serve hot.

MUSHROOM MASALA (oven cooked)
  • 200 grams mushrooms (cut into half)
  • 2 large capsicums (cut into bite size pieces)
  • 1 sliced onion
  • garlic (optional)
  • salt to taste
  • garam masala to taste
  • red chilli powder to taste
Heat oven at 200 deg. C, in a baking dish - add above ingredients and mix well to combine and coat spices.  Allow to rest for 15 minutes.  Bake until vegetables are tender (approximately 35-40 minutes in fan forced Oven).  Serve as a side dish to any Indian breads and rice.
