Raw Mango Gojju









INGREDIENTS & METHOD
 

Prep: 5mins | Cook: 20 mins | Ready in less than 30 mins | Serves: 4-6

 
 
 
1 chopped raw mango
Jaggery, salt & tamarind to taste
1 glass water
1 tsp. - Turmeric powder
 
MASALA -  (dry roasted & blended into coarse powder) - 1 tsp. each - chana & urud dal, methi & cumin seeds, dry red chilli to taste, 2 tbsp. dry coconut, few curry leaves
 
SEASONING -  (in coconut oil) - white sesame seeds, hing & mustard seeds - 1 tsp. each
 
METHOD - Chopped mango pieces added with turmeric, water and jaggery - cooked until tender.  Slowly add masala ingredients, tamarind paste, salt, seasoned ingredients - simmer for few minutes.  Serve with rice, chapati, dosa, idli or with any South Indian main dishes.
