Wheat Vermicelli PULAO
Making of delicious Wheat Vermicelli PULAO using home-made Biryani Pulao Masala powder and other ingredients
INGREDIENTS & METHOD
- 2 cup - roasted vermicelli (in 2 tsp.ghee)
- 1 medium sized onion (sliced lengthwise)
- 1 chopped tomato
- 1-2 tsps. - fresh chillies, ginger & garlic
- 1/2 cup steam cooked mixed vegetables (peas, carrot & beans)
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 tsp. turmeric powder
- 2 tsp. freshly squeezed lemon juice
- cooking oil as required
- 1/2 tsp. mustard seeds seasoning (optional)
- 2-3 tablespoons Biryani Pulao masala powder
- In a large pan, roast vermicelli in ghee until golden brown - remove from heat and let it cool for few minutes
- Steam cook vegetables (lightly salted)
- Use the same pan to make pulao - heat oil in the pan, fry onions until golden brown, add tomato, chilli, ginger, garlic, fry for 5-8 minutes
- Add steam cooked vegetables, Biryani Pulao masala, salt, lemon juice, 2-3 cups water and bring it to boil
- Add roasted vermicelli, mix well to combine - close the pan with a lid and allow to cook for 5-10 minutes
- Remove lid, mix ingredients again (little bit of ghee may be added), remove from heat and serve hot
