Rose Syrup Slice (Burfi)

Serves : 12 -15 pieces


  • Rose syrup - 1/2 cup
  • Raw sugar - 1 cup
  • Unsalted butter (ghee) - 4 large tablespoon
  • cardamom powder - 2 tsp.
  • Almond powder - 1/4 cup
  • Lightly roasted Semolina  - 1 cup
  • Coconut cream - 400ml
  • FOR GARNISHING - desiccated coconut & cherry (optional)

  • Heat a pan on medium heat, melt butter (ghee), add coconut cream, sugar, rose syrup,cardamom powder - mix well to combine & boil this for few minutes
  • Slowly add, roasted semolina and cook until the mixture becomes a thick mass consistency (as shown in the picture above)
  • Pour the mixture to a greased tray and allow to completely cool
  • Garnish with desiccated coconut & cherry (optional)
  • Slice & serve
