Gulkand
Gulkand - a sweet preserve of Rose petals from the Indian subcontinent. Gulkand is considered as an Ayurvedic tonic and is a powerful antioxidant. It also helps to treat mouth ulcers, strengthens teeth & gums.
It is simple and easy to make at home with just few ingredients.

Ingredients - petals from 10-12 roses (from my garden), 1/4 to 1/2 cup brown sugar (or few tablespoons of honey can be used as well)
Method - In a bowl, add rose petals (petals may be lightly crushed or finely chopped) and mix this with sugar or honey. Preserve this in a glass jar and keep under sunlight for few days. (sugar will be dissolved and mixed with rose petals).
Usage - can be consumed on its own (1-2 tsps.) or is spreadable as jam to bread toast
