BENGALURU ADIGE - MIXED DAL CHUTNEY

Mixed DAL Chutney is one of specialty dish in Bangalore (Karnataka State) which is served with Dosa; where 3 different DALS are dry roasted and grinded with other ingredients into smooth texture.
To make this delicious Bangalore Specialty Chutney - all your need is:-
- 1/4 cup each - toor dal, chana dal & urud dal (roasted until golden brown)
- tamarind paste / juice, salt & dry red chillies to taste
- 1/2 cup grated dry coconut
- few curry leaves
- 1-2 tsps. jaggary or brown sugar (optional)
- FOR SEASONING - hing & mustard seeds seasoned in oil
- Dry roast all 3 dals until golden
- Add curry leaves, coconut & dry red chillies - roast lightly
- When cool, grind to smooth texture by adding salt, jaggary and tamarind juice
- Season with hing & mustard seeds
- Serve with Dosa
