ANDHRA Cuisine - Pesarattu










 
Pesarattu is a very popular breakfast food from the state of Andhra Pradesh in India which is a healthy, nutritious, vegetarian, vegan and gluten free Dosa / Crepe / Savoury Pancake variety.

  Ingredients  

  • 3 cups - hesarukalu (green gram) 
  • Fresh green chillies to taste 
  • chopped coriander & curry leaves 
  • 1 small onion 
  • 1 small piece of ginger 
  • salt to taste 
  • oil for making dosa 



 
Method 
  • Wash & soak green gram for 5 hours and grind into a smooth paste with other ingredients (except oil)
  • Heat a griddle, pour 1/2 cup batter, spread it evenly to form a thin crepe, sprinkle little oil
  • Cook on both sides on a medium heat
  • Serve hot with Chutney or any Curry of your choice
