ANDHRA Cuisine - Pesarattu
Pesarattu is a very popular breakfast food from the state of Andhra Pradesh in India which is a healthy, nutritious, vegetarian, vegan and gluten free Dosa / Crepe / Savoury Pancake variety.
Ingredients
- 3 cups - hesarukalu (green gram)
- Fresh green chillies to taste
- chopped coriander & curry leaves
- 1 small onion
- 1 small piece of ginger
- salt to taste
- oil for making dosa
Method
- Wash & soak green gram for 5 hours and grind into a smooth paste with other ingredients (except oil)
- Heat a griddle, pour 1/2 cup batter, spread it evenly to form a thin crepe, sprinkle little oil
- Cook on both sides on a medium heat
- Serve hot with Chutney or any Curry of your choice
