Alu-Mirch Fry (Dry version)

Ingredients for Alu-Mirch Fry
  • 6 medium sized potatoes (cut into bite size cubes)
  • 1 large green capsicum (cut lengthwise)
  • Salt to taste
  • Red hot chilli powder (for extra hot)
  • 4 tsp. cooking oil
  • 3-4 tsps. home made All-purpose Spice powder
  • For seasoning - 1/2 tsp. each - mustard seeds, cumin seeds, chana & urud dal, pinch of hing & turmeric powders, few curry leaves & coriander leaves
  
Method
  •  In a pan, heat oil - season items using seasoning ingredients (except coriander leaves)
  • Add potatoes & capsicums - fry until crispy yet tender
  • Add coriander leaves, salt & All-purpose Spice Powder - mix well to combine
  • Serve hot with Chapati or rice & rasam
