Yogurt-Lemon Cake
Ingredients
- 1.5 cups plain yogurt
- 1/2 cup lemon juice
- 1 tsp. lemon zest
- 2 tsp. poppy seeds
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla essence
- 1/2 cup cooking oil
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1.5 tsp. baking powder
- 4 tsp. corn flour
- 2 cup. plain flour
- pinch of salt
Method - In a large bowl add all the ingredients, mix well to combine. Preheat oven for 10 minutes, pour the cake mixture to a baking dish, bake at 180 deg. C for 45-50 minutes or until a tester inserted into centre of cake comes out clean. Transfer cake to a wire rack, allow it to cool for 10 minutes, turn out of baking dish on to rack and let it cool completely.
