RAGI (FINGER MILLET) UTTAPPAM

Ragi Uttappam with Coconut Chutney

Ingredients
  • 1 cup ragi flour
  • 1/4 cup rice flour
  • 1/4 cup plain yogurt (curd)
  • green chillies to taste
  • dry crushed red chillies to taste
  • salt to taste
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onions
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped coriander leaves
  • FOR SEASONING - mustard seeds, roasted methi powder, pinch of hing & few curry leaves - Heat 1 tsp. of oil & season these and add to uttappam batter.
 


 Method
  • In a large mixing bowl, add the above ingredients and prepare a thick batter, allow this to rest for 2-3hours before preparing uttappams
  • Heat a pan, apply little bit of oil, pour a cup of batter by slowly spreading and roast on both sides
  • Serve hot with coconut chutney
