Appopa ((in Kannada language pronounced as “ಅಪೋಪ”)

ಅಪೋಪ
 Appopa (ಅಪೋಪ) - something similar to your dosa / appam varieties and here is my version of making the same.  This is my today's 'Saraswati Pooja' special prasadam.




Ingredients:-
  

  • ½ cup each of rice, wheat & plain flours
  • Jaggery or palm sugar to taste
  •  Pinch of cardamom powder
  • ¼ cup coconut powder or freshly grated coconut
  • Cooking oil or clarified butter (ghee) for roasting


Method:-

Using the above ingredients (except oil), prepare thick batter (like idli batter) using water.  Heat a non-stick pan, pour ½ - 1 cup of this batter (don’t spread the batter), apply oil or ghee to sides.  Cook both sides on a low flame and serve warm.
