INDIAN Mint Pakoda

Pakoda - deep fried fritters found across South Asia






Ingredients

  • Rice & Besan (chickpea) Flour in equal quantities - 1+1 cup
  • pinch of hing & cooking soda
  • salt & red hot chilli powders to taste 
  • Chopped fresh red chillies to taste
  • 1 finely chopped red onion
  • 1 small bunch of chopped fresh mint leaves
  • 1/4 cup hot oil (while mixing ingredients)
  • Oil for deep frying


Method

  • In a large bowl, mix ingredients to combine (batter should be like idli batter consistency)
  • Deep fry them in hot oil on a medium flame in batches until golden brown
  • Serve hot
