RAJASTHANI Beetroot Fry
Ingredients
- 3 beetroots - chopped into small cubes
- 1 chopped onion
- salt to taste
- oil for frying
- sugar - 1 tsp.
- turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp.
- 1-2 tsps. each of mustard seeds & cumin seeds (Jeera)
- 1/2 - 1 tsp. each of coriander powder, red hot chilli powder, chat masala, amchur powder (mango powder), garam masala
- 1/2 tsp. red chilli flakes
- 1 tsp. sesame seeds
- 1/2 tsp. coconut powder
Method
- Heat oil in a pan, season with mustard seeds, cumin seeds & sesame seeds
- fry onions until golden brown, fry beetroot until tender
- slowly add other spice ingredients with salt to taste, mix well to combine
- serve with any Indian bread varieties
