INDIAN Classic Tandoori Kabab
KABABS are popular in Mumbai, New Delhi and Lucknow, India; famous dish made out of either vegetable or meat variety and ideal for any cocktail parties. There are different versions and this is how it is prepared in my kitchen using fresh vegetables, herbs & spices.
INGREDIENTS
- Vegetables of your choice such as red & green capsicum, red onion, cherry tomatoes, zucchini, button mushrooms, paneer cubes, carrots, cauliflower, yellow squash etc.,
- FOR MARINATING - oil, lemon juice, mustard sauce, tomato sauce, chilli powder, salt, cumin & coriander powder, pepper powder, chat masala & turmeric powder
- BBQ sticks / skewers
METHOD
- Soak BBQ wooden sticks in water for 15-20 minutes (in order to avoid burning while grilling)
- Cut vegetables into bite size pieces, arrange them to bbq sticks / skewers
- Prepare marinating ingredients and marinate cut & skewed vegetables, leave it for 2-3 hours
- Preheat grill at 200 deg C and grill the vegetables for 20-30 minutes or until brown on the top
- Serve as an appetizer or with your main meal
