Delicious & Crispy South Indian any time Snack variety, goes well with your coffee or tea. Sharing my version of recipe which I learnt from my mother, thanks amma.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup - rice flour
- 1/4 cup - besan flour
- 1/4 cup - split dalia flour (hurigadale hittu)
- 2 tsp. - fine semolina
- 1 tsp. each of sesame seeds & cumin seeds
- pinch of hing powder
- salt & red chilli powder to taste
- 4 tsp. ghee
- Oil for deep frying
METHOD
- Mix all the ingredients (except oil for frying) in a large bowl and make a firm dough using enough water
- Pull out lemon sized ball from the dough, pat it on a plastic paper, cut into to your desired shapes (since I don't have a muruku maker, I used this method, if you have a muruku maker, you can use it)
- Heat oil in a heavy bottomed pan, fry these ribbon pakodas on a medium heat until golden brown.
- When cool, store in an air-tight container.
