IDLI Bath




Serves 2-3 people
Cooking time - less than 30 minutes


Ingredients I used
  •  16 steamed idli's - using my leftover idli batter, 1 cup roasted semolina, salt, hing & pinch of of cooking soda - combined together, keep aside for 15-20 minutes
  • 1 finely chopped red onion, chopped green chillies, coriander leaves, curry leaves - fried
  • for seasoning - mustard seeds, channa & urud dal, oil

Method
  • Steam cook idli's for 15 minutes and allow it to cool
  • Heat oil in a pan, season mustard seeds, channa & urud dal, fry onions, chillies, curry & coriander leaves
  • Cut idli's into small bite size cubes and mix to the onion mixture and fry for 5-10 minutes on a medium heat
  • Serve hot or warm with tokku or pickle.  I served with my carrot tokku and it tasted great.
