Cabbage Paratha

There are different versions by different food bloggers, this is my modified version using simple ingredients to suit my family taste & texture. I have just used Chinese cabbage, flour, salt, herbs, spices & yogurt served with my home-made pickle and modified version of onion raita (recipe below) with some salad.
INGREDIENTS
- 1/2 cup finely chopped Chinese cabbage (other cabbage varieties can be used)
- Handful of finely chopped coriander leaves
- 2 cup whole-wheat flour + 1/2 cup Plain flour
- Red chilli powder, Sabzi masala & salt to taste
- 2 tsp. toasted sesame seeds
- 2 tsp. oil (to make dough)
- Yogurt as required to make soft dough
METHOD
- In a large bowl, place all the ingredients, mix to combine to form a soft dough, set aside for 10 minutes
- Pull out lemon sized balls out of dough, roll into round circles
- Heat a pan and roast the parathas (little oil may be applied) both sides just like other paratha varieties
- Serve hot with pickle, raita and salad of your choice
FOR ONION RAITA (pictured above), I have used - finely chopped red onion, coriander-mint-green chilli chutney, salt, sugar, chat masala, roasted cumin & coriander powder, thick home-made yogurt.
