Spicy Peanut Masala







Ingredients

  • 1 cup – skinned raw peanuts
  • 2 tsp. besan flour
  • 1 tsp. rice flour
  • ½ tsp. each of roasted coriander & cumin powders
  • Red hot chilli powder to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • ½ tsp. mango powder
  • Oil for deep frying

Method

  • In a large bowl, mix all the ingredients (except oil for deep frying)
  • Add little water (1 or 2 tsps.) and mix everything well using hands in order to coat peanuts evenly with every ingredient
  • Heat oil on a medium flame, fry these peanuts until the outer battered layer turns crisp and golden brown.
  • Remove from hot oil, drain excess oil on a paper towel, allow it to cool and store in an airtight container
