KADUBU | ಕಡುಬು



For Karida Kadubu

Ingredients for filling - 1 cup grated dry coconut (roasted a little bit), 1/2 cup sugar (more or less to your taste), 1 tsp. cardamom powder, 2 tsp. gasagase (warmed a little bit). Mix all together, keep it aside. 

Ingredients for dough - 1.5 cup chiroti rava, 1 tsp. maida flour, pinch of salt, 1 tsp. ghee - make like puri dough. Keep it aside for 10-15 mins. Roll like puri, add filling inside, fold into your desired shape and deep fry on low - medium heat.

For making bele (dal) karida kadubu - 1 cup toor dal, 1cup fresh grated coconut, 1 cup bella powder (more or less to your taste), 1 tsp. cardamom powder. Cook toor dal, mash a little bit, grind coarsely with other ingredients. Make puris, fill inside, close and deep fry
