Apple Crumble






APPLE CRUMBLE without Sultanas -  2 tbs. self-raising flour, 6 good day pista-almond cookies, 1/4 tsp. cinnamon powder, 3 tbs. butter.  Baked at 180 deg. C for 20 mins.  Served warm with whipped cream.


Baked Apple with Sultana Crumble


Ingredients & Method
  • 6 ginger cookies
  • 1/4 cup plain flour
  • 1/4 tsp. cinnamon powder
  • 30gms unsalted butter (chopped)
  • 30gms sultanas 
  • 4 apples

  • Crush ginger cookies, transfer crumbs to a bowl, add flour, cinnamon, butter, mix well, add sultanas & combine everything together
  • Slice the top portion of apples (keep them), use a sharp knife to remove the core from each apple
  • Preheat oven to 170 deg. C
  • Place the apples on a greased or lined baking tray, spoon the cookie mixture in the centre of each cored apple 
  • Bake for about 20 mins or until apples are tender and the crumble is golden brown.
  • Serve warm
