Rava (semolina) Burfi


My Mother's recipe


Preparation time - less than 30 minutes
Serves - 8-10 pieces


Ingredients
  • chiroti rava - 1/2 cup
  • dry grated coconut - 1/4 cup
  • ghee - 3-4 spoons
  • cardamom powder - 1/2 tsp
  • sugar - 1 cup
  • milk - 1/2 cup
Method
  • Dry roast rava (fine semolina) & coconut together until light brown colour
  • heat ghee in a pan, add milk, sugar to make sugar syrup
  • add roasted rava & coconut, add cardamom powder and mix well
  • when ready, remove from heat, pour the mixture to a greased plate
  • allow it to cool, cut into your desired shapes, serve
