Rava (semolina) Burfi
My Mother's recipe |
Preparation time - less than 30 minutes
Serves - 8-10 pieces
Ingredients
- chiroti rava - 1/2 cup
- dry grated coconut - 1/4 cup
- ghee - 3-4 spoons
- cardamom powder - 1/2 tsp
- sugar - 1 cup
- milk - 1/2 cup
Method
- Dry roast rava (fine semolina) & coconut together until light brown colour
- heat ghee in a pan, add milk, sugar to make sugar syrup
- add roasted rava & coconut, add cardamom powder and mix well
- when ready, remove from heat, pour the mixture to a greased plate
- allow it to cool, cut into your desired shapes, serve
