For dough ingredients - 2 cup Maida flour, ¼ tsp. yeast, sugar & salt to taste, butter to brush, 1/2 cup each of milk & water.
(FOR YEAST-FREE VERSION = 2 cup all purpose flour, 1/2 tsp. each baking powder & baking soda, salt & sugar to taste, 1/2 cup butter milk - combined together to make dough)
For masala ingredients – finely chopped onions, crushed dry red chillies or chopped green chillies to
taste, coriander & curry leaves may be added.
Method
– Mix yeast, sugar, salt in warm water and keep it aside for 5-10
mins. Add flour & spices, mix everything well and make a dough.
Allow this dough to rest for 45 mins - one hour in a warm place. Then
bake in a pre-heated oven @ 150-200 degree C for about 15-20 mins or
until it is done. Enjoy with a hot cup of coffee or tea!!
