AUSTRALIAN Grilled Sandwich
- Wholemeal bread slices - 6-8 pieces
- tomato - 4 (finely chopped)
- onion - 2 (finely chopped)
- carrot - 4 (grated)
- 2 spoon lemon juice
- salt & pepper to taste
- green chilli paste to taste (grinded fresh green chillies)
- 2 spoon sabji masala powder (any brand)
- avocado dip (for home made - mash avocados, add salt, pepper, lemon juice, finely chopped coriander leaves and chopped tomatoes, mix well and use as a dip for serving with raw vegetables such as carrots and cucumber OR use as a spread for making delicious sandwiches).
Heat just 1 tsp. oil in a pan, fry onions, tomatoes, carrots for 5-10 mins.
Add lemon juice, salt, pepper, coriander, chilli paste, sabji masala - mix well and fry for few minutes. Remove from stove and keep it aside.
Spread little butter on one side of bread slices (while grilling buttered sides facing up and down with stuffing inside)
Spread a spoonful of avocado spread
Stuff with your prepared vegetables on top
close with the other bread slice
close the grill lid and toast the sandwiches till golden brown
serve warm with any salad of your choice
