Rice Kesaribath

For Karnataka style Rice Kesari bath, ingredients are - 1/2 cup cooked rice, 1-2 tsps clarified butter,  few dry grapes and cashews, 1/4 tsp each of clove and cardamom powder, sugar to taste.

(FOR MAKING AVALAKKI KESARIBATH - REPLACE RICE WITH 1 CUP WASHED & SOAKED AVALAKKI + OTHER INGREDIENTS).    


Avalakki (Poha) Kesaribath

Method -  In a pan, heat clarified butter and fry dry grapes, cashews, clove and cardamom powders for few minutes.  Add 1/2 cup of water to boil, add sugar to boiling water and after 5-10 minutes add your cooked rice and mix well.  When the rice pudding becomes thick, remove from stove and serve.  Can be served warm or at room temperature.

For making RAWA (SEMOLINA) KESARI BATH - REPLACE COOKED RICE WITH LIGHTLY ROASTED FINE SEMOLINA (CHIROTI RAVA) AND PREPARE USING OTHER (ABOVE) INGREDIENTS.
